Top Tips for Parents

1. Make the local church a priority in your family's schedule.
Why? When your children leave your household they are going to have a set opinion on how important church should be in their adult life. Many times that is based on how often and how consistent their families attendance was growing up.
2. Read your Bible and pray when your children are awake and around.
Why? If your child doesn't see Bible reading and prayer as a foundation in your life, they'll be less likely to make it a foundation in theirs.
3. Encourage your child to attend Surge Pre-Teen, Surge Elementary, Surge Jr. or Baby Surge.
Why? All of our programs at LifeBridge are designed to teach children age appropriate information on a level the children can understand.
4. Download and complete our weekly Family Devotionals.
Why? You have a far greater impact on your child than we do. It's exciting to see your child growing closer to God; we want you to be a part of the process.
5. Join the Surge Volunteer team.
Why? Plain and simple... children of volunteers are the most likely to stick close to God and His values during the difficult high school and college years.
6. Encourage your child to join the Surge Servant Team.
Why? Kids love to help in their classrooms, and they will meet the required Bible readings and prayer times to do it.
7. Attend relationship building events at LifeBridge throughout the year.
Why? As kids grow older they will need Christian friends to help them make good decisions.
